Yesterday morning, a man stood at the edge of space and leaped into the history books.  Felix Baumgartner’s supersonic free-fall was epic!  Were you watching?

Besides becoming the first person to break the sound barrier without a jet engine, Felix broke a couple of other records – highest jump and highest manned balloon flight at just over 39km above the earth’s surface.  The jump also set the record for highest concurrent views on YouTube – over 7.3 million were watching online as he stepped off the platform in addition to the huge TV audience.

So how is Felix going to follow up his record jump?  He isn’t.  He says he’s done.  Can you blame him?  I mean, how do you top that???  He’s going to spend some time with his girlfriend and work flying helicopters for mountain rescue operations.  This is in addition to his new lifetime career as one of the coolest guys ever.
