The next stop on the Bow Valley Taste Off tour had me sampling a very Full English Breakfast at the Georgetown Inn.

General Manager Barb Scott says the Georgetown has become a locals favourite over the past few years thanks to their great food and desire to be a big part of the Canmore community.

Have you ever woken up ravenously hungry?  Perhaps you skipped a meal the previous day or had burned a lot of energy doing some sort of physical activity.  The Full English Breakfast at the Georgetown is a perfect meal for a morning like this.  As you can see from the above photo I had to move the toast to get a full picture of what was on the plate.  There were a lot of highlights here – my eggs were cooked exactly how I asked (over-medium), the hash browns were crisp and well-seasoned, and the bacon was also crispy and tasty – not a surprise from the restaurant that makes bacon roses for Valentine’s Day.  My favourite was the sausage – the photos don’t do justice to how big those things are!  The Full English Breakfast will leave even the biggest morning appetites fully satisfied and it’s one you can’t go wrong with at the special $12 price.

Check out the entries in the Bow Valley Taste Off – Best Breakfast and vote for your favourite!  For my final tasting tomorrow I’ll be heading out to Lake Louise to enjoy a coffee and great meal at the Javalanche Cafe.
