Stephen Carter

To kick off our municipal election coverage Tanya and I invited Stephen Carter to join us on the Mountain Insider this morning. Stephen is probably best known as one of the key architects behind Naheed Nenshi’s underdog campaign in Calgary’s 2010 mayoral race, following that up with a leadership role in Alison Redford’s road to become Premier of Alberta.  His family moved to Canmore about two years ago and he’s become keenly interested in our local issues and election race.

We spoke about the role of the electorate and some of the issues that are both similar to other communities and unique to ours.

Stephen also offered some advice to candidates in this election and shared his feelings on public forums.

Thanks to Stephen Carter for his great insight this morning!
