With Bear 148, trail closures, and other concerns this past summer there were a lot of people who expressed an interest in making a real difference on the ground.  People wanted to be able to talk to others and help educate about respecting wildlife closures and other ways to keep both humans and animals safe on the trails.

Bow Valley WildSmart and Alberta Parks‘ Wildlife Ambassador program has been doing that very thing for the past 11 years, having over 48,000 conversations with trail users in that time!  Tyler McClaron says they’re recruiting for the upcoming summer season for the first time in three years.
