An experience like no other in Alberta, the new Kananaskis Nordic Spa at Delta Hotels Kananaskis Lodge will begin welcoming guests this Friday, March 2nd!

I was fortunate enough to take a tour and a dip in the new facility over the weekend. With a multitude of saunas and steam rooms to enjoy alongside a series of temperature controlled pools it’s a relaxing experience that can be enjoyed for hours as you sit and soak surrounded by the beautiful Kananaskis mountain ranges. The pools themselves can be experienced at any time of the year, ranging in temperature from what you’d feel in a typical hot tub to quite cold. The largest pool was my favourite, an enjoyable bathwater-like temperature that you may never want to leave! Add a newly built licensed bistro with fantastic views and you have a one-of-a-kind experience in the Canadian Rockies. Take a tour through my gallery posted above to see some photos from my visit.

Jennifer Buckler is the VP of Spa and Development at the new Kananaskis Nordic Spa. She told me that looking out the window and seeing us enjoying the pools was an incredibly rewarding feeling after the months of love and hard work her and the team have poured into this project. We spoke about the Nordic Spa concept and the upcoming online vote for the first seasonal essential oil blend they’ll use in one of their steam rooms.

There’s still more work to be done but they’re so excited to welcome guests they’ll be opening Phase I for weekend operation this Friday!  Visit their website for more details.
