What: Canmore Highland Games
When: September 5th
Where: Centennial Park
The Canmore Highland Games is presented annually on the Sunday of the Labour Day weekend. This year, come out for the Celtic festival including highland dance, piping and drumming, heavy sports, sheep dog demonstrations, massed bands, clan tents, Celtic wares and traditional food and beverages.
In addition there's a pancake breakfast, a beer garden and non-stop entertainment in the heated festival tent morning to night.

What: Terry Fox Run
When: September 19th, Noon
Where: Canmore Recreation Centre
Be part of Terry’s legacy of hope in battling cancer. By participating in Canmore’s Terry Fox Run on September 19th, you will help to raise funds to combat this disease- and you can enjoy a day in the mountains at the same time. Run lengths are from 1 km to 10 km including an Expectant Mother’s Walk, a Children’s Walk, a Puppy Walk and the 10 km run itself.
