Beautiful summer season has started in the Bow Valley and so has kitten season! Kitten season is the time of the year when a high number of cats give birth, overwhelming animal shelters with high numbers of homeless litters.  With the increasing number of unwanted kittens being born every year a large majority of them are left homeless to fend for themselves. The easiest way to help reduce the over population of kittens and cats is to spay and neuter your own cat and encourage others to do the same. Intact cats are driven by their hormones and tend to sneak outdoors in search of a mate. If neutering/spaying is an issue because of financial situations there are programs available offering assistance. There are already so many beautiful cats searching for their forever home! Adult cats have to wait even longer to be adopted while cute little kittens capture all the attention.  If you are interested in a kitten or a cat come visit all our beautiful loving cats who would love to be a part of your family!
