The Tenors are super, duper sorry for changing the lyrics to the Canadian National Anthem during the MLB All-Star Game.

The rest of the group is blaming ‘lone wolf’ Remigio Pereira for changing one of the lines to “We’re all brothers and sisters, all lives matter to the great.” and holding up a sign saying as much. Online backlash was swift and fierce, and the rest of the group has released a statement saing Pereira will not be performing with them for an undetermined amount of time.

Musicians have been making political statements through music for a long time. And despite the best intentions with this one, The Tenors have learned an important lesson – don’t mess with our National Anthem!
