As part of Canada’s 150th birthday celebrations in 2017, and in honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday, a number of popular existing trails in Banff will become the Banff Commonwealth Walkway.  As part of this project the Banff Canmore Community Foundation is collecting stories from anyone who has ever been inspired by a walk in Banff.  Where is your favourite place to walk in town and why?  What makes that place so special?  Do you have any special memories of that place?

Commonwealth Steering Committee Chair Bill Fisher says these stories will be used in a number of ways, from interpretation on the trail system to a book presented to Her Majesty as a birthday present.

Submission deadline is January 2nd.  Click here for more details.
