RCMP:

On January 2, 2017 at approximately 3:30 am, Canmore RCMP responded to a complaint of an Armed Robbery. An unknown male culprit entered the Esso located at 1729 Mountain Avenue and pointed a black handgun at the clerk. The culprit made demands of the clerk for cash. The clerk complied with demands made and the culprit fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk was not injured in the robbery.

 

The suspect is described as:

 

  • Caucasian male;
  • Approximately 165 cms to 167 cms (5’5” to 5’6”) tall;
  • Approximately 59 kgs (130 lbs);
  • Slim build;
  • Wearing coveralls;
  • Gloves;
  • Balaclava;
  • Carrying a backpack.

Investigators urge anyone who may have information regarding the identity of the suspect to contact Canmore RCMP at 403.678.5516.
