Banff is rolling out their new Lake Minnewanka and Banff / Lake Louise transit services just in time for the May Long Weekend!

Parks Canada Visitor Experience Manager Greg Danchuk breaks down the pickup locations and schedules for the new services that will be free this summer beginning Friday (May 19th).  We also spoke about long weekend campground availability and tips to stay safe and responsible in the National Parks.

The Lake Minnewanka bus will run daily starting 8 AM at the Banff High School, with the last bus departing that stop at 8:30 PM. It will service all major areas of interest along the Minnewanka Loop including a new Park and Ride lot where the Cascade Ponds overflow camping area used to be – visitors to Banff can park there and catch the bus to avoid trying to find parking in the townsite.

The free shuttle between Banff and Lake Louise will depart hourly from the Banff Train Station beginning at 7 AM. The last bus of the day will leave the Lake Louise Samson Mall lot at 6 PM.
