In the Pink 30th

Canmore’s premier all-female a capella group In The Pink have carved out a unique niche for themselves in the Bow Valley’s music scene over the past 30 years. Originally formed in 1986, the ladies really hit their stride with a number of local shows during the 1988 Winter Olympics.  They’re getting ready to celebrate their love of singing and music with a couple of reunion concerts this weekend.

I invited the current In The Pink lineup to join me in studio to talk about their group and this weekend’s events, as well as perform a tune.  LeeAnn DeCoteau, Cathy Robinson, Jan Tissander, Tanya Sullivan, and Sue Chick-Denton shared some history and stories of their favourite memories with the group and took us on a Sentimental Journey.

Saturday night’s show is sold out!  There are still some tickets for Sunday afternoon’s show – pick them up while you still can for $25 at O’Canada Soapworks, the Ralph Connor church office, or from any of the members of the group.
