The world is here and we’re ready to welcome some of the top international biathletes to the Canmore Nordic Centre for World Cup races February 7 – 10!

Canmore Biathlon World Cup Chief of Media Megan Imrie speaks about the action at the Nordic Centre this week.  She also shares her insights as a former Olympian into what it means to our local athletes to race on home soil and what makes a memorable World Cup experience.

I also had the chance to speak with Alaina Fraser from the Canmore Nordic Ski Club about the bleacher party they’ll be hosting on race days and how you can get in on the fun for free.

The race schedule has changed from the original plan due to the cold weather we’re experiencing – visit their website for the latest information. A reminder there’s no parking on site – catch the free shuttle to and from the Nordic Centre from downtown Canmore.
