Not too many people can say they’ve lived in the Banff Train Station!  Terry Gainer is one of the few who can say they did, spending his formative years living and eventually working in a place that used to be the hub of everything coming in and going out of Banff and Lake Louise.

I spoke with Terry about why he decided to write his new book When Trains Ruled the Rockies: My Life at the Banff Railway Station, who should be interested in the subject, and his book launch events taking place over the next month.

Join Terry for his book launch events this Friday, June 21st from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Banff Train Station, as well as July 11th from 7 – 9 PM at the Whyte Museum.  If you can’t make it to the launch and would like a copy, it’s available at Cafe Books in Canmore, Indigo Books and the Banff Park Lodge in Banff, and online for Kobo and Kindle.
