Bow Valley WildSmart is hosting a rare summer Speaker Series presentation this Wednesday, July 17th at 7 PM at artsPlace.

Francesco Del Greco is a Masters Students visiting Canmore from the University of Trento in Northern Italy.  Bears were reintroduced to that part of the world in the late 90s, and 20 years later they’re dealing with many of the same human-wildlife conflict issues that we’ve spent years trying to find solutions for here.  Inspired to come here by the film Living with Wildlife, Francesco spoke with me about some of the learning he hopes to take home with him and what he’ll be talking about Wednesday night.

I also spoke with Nick de Ruyter from Bow Valley WildSmart who gave us an update on the current wildlife situation in the Bow Valley.

Please note the new location (artsPlace) for Wednesday night’s presentation.  Admission by donation.
