The first photo in this gallery provides a great summation of some of the top Canmore Eagles highlights this season – Zach Carlson and Alex Young working together (along with Connor Lyons) to score a ton of points and create one of the most feared lines in the entire AJHL.

In the 2018/19 season for the Canmore Eagles, Zach Carlson scored 5 goals in 45 games.  In the 2019/20 regular season, Zach scored 41 points (20G, 21A) in 53 games, 11 of those points coming last month.  He was definitely a worthy recipient of the Most Improved Player trophy at the recent Canmore Eagles Awards Banquet and is the Mountain FM Player of the Month for February!

I spoke with Zach about the factors that have led to his improved play this season, playing on a line with star forwards Alex Young and Connor Lyons, and the Eagles current playoff drive against the Camrose Kodiaks.

Games 3 and 4 of the best-of-7 series take place tonight (March 4th) and tomorrow (March 5th) at 7 PM at the Canmore Rec Centre.  Congratulations Zach, and Go Eagles Go!
